About Marco

Let me tell you a little bit about myself.  I'm a first generation Puerto Rican (aka Boricua, Borinqueno, or Nuyorican).  I first lived in Bed Sty then East NY Brooklyn before being raised in Richmond Hill Queens.  Before moving to Queens my father was seriously considering moving back to PR.  The reason was that every neighborhood he moved to would soon turn nasty and too dangerous he felt to raise his family.   Thank God for my Uncle Carl and his wife Aunt Cruz.  They moved their family to Florida and rented us their house in Queens.  Eventually they offered the house to us at a very amenable price, and it was purchased.  We moved in there in 1974 and I stood there until I married Sylvia O. Sierra (don't ask me what the O. stands for.  She won't tell me.  It may be Oh! for all I know!!)  We have three (16, soon to be 11 and 5) very different and unique children.  Our firstborn has captivating blue eyes and lovely light brown thick hair with natural blond streaks.  She's fair skinned but tans olive.  My second child has the dark hair, dark eyes and skin color from both grandfathers.  He is the best swimmer I've seen in the beach of anyone of any age.  He is a short guy so he is mostly treading water the whole time he is out there. He doesn't tire and he is out there all day.  My youngest is a whipper snapper with fair skin but tans nicely and she has her mother's voluminous dark hair.
Me - I fight this menace every moment of everyday - asking God to keep me hopeful and strong.   May the Holy Spirit rain down and fill my heart and the hearts of my wife and children and anyone who needs a Miracle with healing faith.  In Jesus's name, Amen.
